What To Do With Your New Computer

Have you just got a new laptop and you don’t know what to do at first?

Well, some people start by loading files and programs, while some immediately start playing online games and watching movies.

That is good, but there are a lot of things that should be kept in mind before start using your new laptop. Below mentioned is the list of tips and tricks to be followed after buying a brand new laptop or PC.

1.      Update your anti malware program

Usually all the computers come with a pre-installed anti-malware program, but it’s generally not updated. So, all you’ve to do is to go to the scanner settings and update the program. Doing this would ensure that it becomes capable enough to identify and remove new viruses, Trojans and worms.

Otherwise, you are left with the only option of surrendering your computer PC into the hands of malicious software. Therefore, before you become a prey of severe security breach, take steps to counteract it beforehand?

2.      Install windows updates

There are less chances that your brand new laptop is fully updated. So, update your laptop on a regular basis, either regularly or once in a month. This will protect the operating system from all the technical glitches and will also maintain the smooth speed of your laptop.

Going for an ‘automatic updating’ option could be significantly beneficial for you, rendering you an enhanced computing experience.

3.      Go for a cloud storage service

Storage of information has gone way beyond the conventional methods which people have known for a very long time and now storage has moved to the remote systems which are now called the cloud. Information here is usually saved and stored in a data center which is a series of servers. These have totally eliminated the need for individuals to locally store all their data on a computer.

This helps a lot in archiving the essential data so that you can resurrect it whenever needed.

Online backup services are the real alternative for local backups. So, saving your files to the cloud is quite convenient to automate your backups. You can regularly upload important files to the secure server and designate folders on multiple systems that will automatically be updated whenever there’s a change made in any of them.

Now, congratulations!
Your laptop is free from all the risks of being infected from any malicious software and content.
