How to Build a Cheap Gaming PC on a Budget?

To get into the world of gaming there are two ways. The first way is to buy a Gaming PC and the second way is to get into hardcore gaming by building a gaming PC yourself.

The truth is that you can build the exact computer the gaming computer companies build in less money than needed to purchase one.

Step 1: Determine the processor (CPU): Currently, Intel and AMD are two leading CPU companies. The Intel i5 and Intel Core i3-3220 are the best option in terms of performance in comparison to price. But, before you purchase, find benchmarks and compare them with current price.

Step 2:  Compatible Motherboard:
While choosing the motherboard take note of the processor socket, the memory modules and the RAM frequency.

Note:
· Beware of high frequency RAM as they are inconsistent and have a high failure rate.

· For the memory module take the note on number of pins as it will connect to motherboard.

 Step 3: Get fast RAM: Having more RAM or desktop memory will offer smoother performance and decrease loading time. 2GB or 4GB of DDR2, 800MHz or higher is good. But make sure its compatible with your motherboard.

Note:

· Most of the games need 2GB of RAM. So get 4-8 GB of RAM, if you want your games to run smooth.

· 32-bit CPUs can only support up to 3GB; 64-bit CPUs can support much more.

Step 4: Choose a video card: Currently there are two leading video card companies - ATI and NVIDIA. As there are so many different video cards in the market, the best way to choose card is to look for its reviews.

Step 5: Hard drive storage: The large files associated with media need plenty of space for storing Games, audio and videos. For the better performance choose SATA cards that allow better airflow and transfer speeds. But, before going for any make sure to read reviews on hard drives.

Step 6: Choose a power supply: 
350 watts is the minimum power needed for modern computer. So be sure that it meets all the recommended power requirements for your parts.

Note:

· Low quality can put you at many disadvantages. So consider the one which is more powerful and more efficient.

· High-end video cards require 500 Watts or more power supply; choose the most suitable.

Step 7: Purchase a case: The case is equally important as powerful components will require more cooling, so be thoughtful of which case you purchase.
Note:

· Larger fans produce less noise and push more air through your case which is usually recommended for powerful components.

· A mid-case tower is standard, but a full-tower case may be necessary for higher number of peripherals.

Step 8:
Choose an operating system: Operating system will help to put all the above components together. When it gets installed successfully, check online for driver updates.

Note:

· Windows tends to be best operating system for gaming. Also, choose Windows 7 over Window 8 as some of the older games may have compatibility issues with the new system.
