How to Fix Most Common Windows XP Problems

Windows XP was released in the year 2001, and it remained installed about a quarter of the world’s PC, which makes it the second most popular OS. Though Windows XP is a robust operating system, but it has some flaws that can’t be ignored.
Microsoft announced to withdraw support for Windows XP that made the situation more complicated.

Icons become unusable:
At Some point or the other every Windows XP user experience a problem in which all the icons of the system stop working. Trying to open the icon will prompt an error message saying that the path is not correct.

In such case, the Windows doesn’t know where exactly the .exe it is pointing to is actually located. This problem can, however, be solved by right clicking on the icon, finding the “Target” field and then entering the path where the file is located.
   
Program Compatibility:


There might be a situation that some of the old programs that run perfectly under Windows 95 do not work well with Windows XP.

But there is a solution to this problem with Application Compatibility which is a great XP feature. It let the user run programs using automated settings.

Error with Windows loading:

You might have noticed an error message while Windows XP is loading or preventing Windows XP from loading. This can be due to the configuration error in the registry.

If removing a program or uninstalling software can help in the fast booting of the system then boot the computer in the safe mode.

If your system was working fine in the past but recently it is has started facing the problem then run the “system restore” option in order to restore the computer to an earlier date?
