How to fix three most common problems while upgrading Operating System.

Upgrading to new operating system can be stressful experience, whether the up-gradation is being done on personal computer at home or an office full of workstations. Basically updation is done to take advantage of new features or to run new applications, but sometimes upgrading operating system can go wrong.

This article talks about some common problems and explains how you can prevent them or work around them when they occur.

Insufficient hardware: A new operating system needs a better hardware than its predecessors. A system that runs the old OS fine may run the new one very slowly or not at all, so before upgrading the system check out all the hardware requirements.
Note: However if your computer needs several components to be upgraded then it’s better to purchase new computer and if it’s laptop, it may be difficult or impossible to upgrade the hardware to a level that will run the new OS.

Setup error and freezes: The worst situation is when the setup process fails in the middle of an upgrade. This can leave you stuck with neither the old operating system nor the new one. A possible situation can be insufficient disk space, hardware issue.
So, before upgrading the OS, upgrade the disk space.  Also, install required drivers.

Driver problem:
Driver problems are one of the common causes of all sorts of trouble connected with an OS Upgrade. Even if the installation process is done, it doesn’t mean that things haven’t gone wrong. You may encounter that soundcard no longer works or can’t print in the new OS.
So the first few things to do are, checking the website of the hardware component vendor for updated drivers and then update your driver before installation.
